Our new tour to the Garden of England will explore the myriad habitats of Kent and Sussex during the peak of spring migration, a region perhaps neglected by birders living away from the London area but one which represents huge potential for some superb birding in classic English countryside. We have timed our tour to coincide with the best time of year for number and variety of spring migrants, the chance of some skua passage, singing Nightingales and scarce and rare birds at famous coastal locations such as Sandwich Bay and Dungeness. Throw in breeding colonies of terns, heathland specialists and deciduous woodland resonating to spring birdsong, and we think we have the makings of a great new tour! In order to maximise the potential of our visit, we are teaming up with local expert and birding tour guide Simon Ginnaw. We are delighted to be working with Simon, who shares our ethos for producing top birding experiences in a relaxed and friendly manner, and hope that this trip might become one of our regular favourites! Join is in 2019 and find out! Your guides will be Ashley Saunders and Simon Ginnaw and return travel from Norfolk can be included free of charge in our minibus, if required. There are also good transport connections with the major London airports via Canterbury railway station, where we can also collect. You can expect to see around 130 species.
