Long-eared Owl
This new and original tour focuses on the diverse bird life that resides in Hungary in autumn. There will be resident species, but also late migrants and visitors arriving for the winter. A wonderful mix of wildfowl, including many geese, raptors such as Saker Falcon, eight woodpecker species and Great Bustard flocks, await us. Hungary nestles deep in the heart of Europe, in the Carpathian Basin, and is home to a rich selection of birds. It is also a land with a rich history and folklore and famed for its full-bodied red wines and wholesome food. The terrain is mostly easy and the tour will be led by Gerard Gorman and Jason Moss. You can expect to see approximately one hundred species.
