Introduction

Leopard

We’ve all seen the captivating natural history programmes that have been filmed in the Okavango Delta and here for the first time is our opportunity to experience this wildlife spectacular first hand. Our friends at Letaka Safaris have organized this wonderful itinerary for us with the timing enabling us to hopefully encounter a wide variety of wildlife of all varieties as well as migrant birds – marked with an asterisk in the itinerary. Our stay will be at a combination of luxury tented camps and lodges and there will always be time for just relaxing as well as enjoying the marvellous wildlife, scenery and sunsets on our doorstep. Due to the very nature of some of the species we hope to encounter, there will be several very early starts and later finishes, but this is the only way that we can expect to see some of the nocturnal creatures. In any case, the heat of the day sees activity die down and we will use that time productively to rest before returning to the field later in the day. This never to be forgotten wildlife experience will be led by Brent or Grant Reed and Neil Donaghy and you can expect to see in excess of 350 species, plus a wide variety of other wildlife. Note that species marked with an asterisk are migratory and may not be present during our stay.
